Photo Plethysmogram (PPG) and Electrodermal Activity (EDA/GSR)
Biopac (MP150) – PPGED-R.
The PPG measure the Blood Volume Pulse (BVP) via optical plethysmographic. It provides cardiovascular information (e.g. heart rate, inter-beat interval and vasodilation/constriction).
The EDA/GSR (Electrodermal Activity/Galvanic Skin Response) — provides indications of eccrine (skin sweating) activity. PPG and EDA indexes, have been used in the literature as an indicator of the user’s stress response.
